It’s the right time to go out. We’ll experience Cologne in autumn on a walk through the district together. And we’ll hear the familiar places in a new way. Using a receiver that can make electromagnetic fields audible, the flow of electricity from the power boxes, parking meters and street lamps becomes a new soundscape in the city. It’s noise that’s reminiscent of electronic music. If you like that kind of thing or just want to have a new, exciting experience, this is the right place for you. Participants also receive sheets of paper with printed notation systems developed by Hamawaki. During the walk, they can write down what they hear and let their imagination run wild. The walk through Nippes, led by Kanade and Oliver, is a free experiment.
